Digital Marketing Lead

Garrison Hughes is looking for a full time Digital Marketing Lead. As a Digital Marketing Lead, you will have the opportunity to  manage the planning, development, launch, and evaluation of web-based materials on upmc.com and affiliated sites, while also partnering with Strategy and Clinical Marketing to develop campaigns, and marketing programs to increase qualified site visits and conversions on upmc.com, with the goal of helping increase patient volume.  Furthermore, the Digital Marketing Lead will manage and mentor the Digital Marketing Specialist in establishing and overseeing strategy for web projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication, collaborating with departmental communications managers, other teams within digital marketing, physicians, administrators, web architects and programmers, and designers.

Requirements

  • Manage web projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication, collaborating with departmental communications managers, physicians, administrators, web architects and programmers, and designers. 
  • Prepare and monitor project timelines for assigned projects, which include a detailed description of major work segments, tasks to be completed, estimated start and completion dates, and assignment of resources/responsibilities.
  • Serve as Digital Marketing Communications liaison to management and medical staff of clinical and nonclinical programs, and UPMC departments and committees as needed, providing consultation and strategic communications planning where appropriate. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects appropriately.
  • Demonstrate service-oriented behavior in interactions with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to manage projects of the highest complexity, sensitivity, and importance with minimal oversite. 
  • Work closely with Directors/Senior Managers/Managers to develop digital marketing strategies and plans for clinical marketing tactics to grow volume, raise brand awareness and more. Provide guidance to communications digital marketing specialists and summer associates on marketing projects and process.
  • Manage projects of increased complexity, sensitivity, or importance to the organization. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of web- and social media-based concepts, tools, and techniques such as search engine optimization, usability, navigation, QA testing, content development and metrics/reporting systems.
  • Extract learnings, determine best-practices, and extend best-practices across the system. 
  • Assist in working as a liaison between clients and digital marketing support services including web strategy, email, social media, applications/development, SEO/PPC and analytics teams. 
  • Assist with hands-on design (HTML) for projects as needed.

Education/Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a focus in marketing, communications, business or information technology preferred. 
  • Strong project management skills. With a history of managing larger projects, assigning out workloads, monitoring progress, quality control, and analysis and optimizing completed projects.
  • Identify and build process enhancements
  • 5 years experience in marketing communications, web-based program management, design, development, or related field required. 
  • Working, current knowledge of web- and social media-based concepts, tools, and techniques such as search engine optimization, usability, navigation, QA testing, content development and metrics/reporting systems. 
  • Experience with customer service and account management
  • Experience in website management/basic HTML/content management systems
  • Superior oral and written communications skills.
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills. General understanding of automated marketing technology platforms 
  • Understanding of application of analytics to make marketing decisions 
  • Previous experience with site maps, wireframes, web CMS, SEO, etc.
