Graphic Design Project Manager

Garrison Hughes is looking for a full-time, Graphic Design Project Manager to support our team at the US Steel Tower. We need an energetic person who is able to assist in various roles with our in-house corporate based Design Studio. But you’ll also be a part of one of the most highly-awarded and creative advertising agencies in Pittsburgh. Duties include:

  • Print production and job traffic/project management under the direction of the Print Production Manager and Studio Director.
  • Helping manage the internal workflow of graphic materials of all levels including print, web and social media for client.
  • Assist team in print production with external based vendors and corporate based internal print center.
  • Assist in bids, scheduling, production and delivery.
  • Day to day role would include artwork collection, familiarity with graphic design file types and Adobe Creative Suite. General print knowledge is required.
  • Assign and schedule projects through an online job management software.
  • Strong project management and customer service skills including managing multiple jobs simultaneously and interacting with a range of department project managers from junior to director level.
  • Under the guidance of the Studio Director, work with a team of 10 plus designers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Administrative roles include print production paperwork, management and distribution of print samples, time management and trafficking of print invoices through client system.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, with at least two years of professional experience in the field, or an Associate degree with at least three years of experience.
  • Must have graphic design skills, Abobe Creative Suite experience
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including problem solving and managing client expectations
  • Corporate publication experience preferred.

Garrison Hughes is looking for a Data Entry professional to support our team at the US Steel Tower. A successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, will be able to pinpoint inaccuracies, and will be able to problem solve. The role will be Monday through Friday during daylight hours. The assignment will be 90 days.

  • Experience with entering data into a customer resource management system or database.
  • Proficiency in searching the Internet to find information on health care providers and clinicians for inclusion in a customer resource management database.

Communications Specialist I

Garrison Hughes is looking for a professional who will operate under the direction of a Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. As a Communications Specialist I, you will handle various projects to provide communications to internal and external audiences in support of the client’s mission. This includes managing communications projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication. You will also serve as a liaison to staff of clinical and non-clinical programs. In addition, you will refine and maintain the processes used by the department and external vendors. Other duties may be required as assigned.

An ideal candidate will be able to multitask and prioritize projects appropriately, as well as demonstrate service-oriented behavior in interactions with clients and co-workers.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

Senior Digital Designer

This position is on the Garrison Hughes Design team, which is located in our offices on the 57th floor of the U.S. Steel Building. It is a unique role within our agency that encompasses conceptual design, strategic thinking, digital programming and managerial expertise. As Senior Digital Designer, you would be responsible for overseeing design for UPMC corporate websites, intranet, portals, interactive initiatives and other online and distributed digital projects. You will be asked to lend your expertise and guidance on numerous digital marketing projects, while maintaining the UPMC brand in support of UPMC's mission and vision. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with and offering design guidance to UPMC’s social media team. In addition, you would provide ongoing website design analysis, maintenance and development to continually monitor and improve website design, functionality and current industry standards. You will maintain UPMC’s design pattern library that defines all of the elements that make up UPMC’s web pages, including banners, rotators, call outs, call to action, link styles, etc. work closely with Medical Media and the video team to ensure that the UPMC brand and mission are consistent across digital mediums. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the Garrison Hughes Design team and offering your digital guidance to traditional design.

You will also play a vital role in helping to lead and manage campaigns and other digital initiatives; seek out ways to enhance the overall user experience; and develop concepts that will increase engagement and encourage repeat visits to UPMC’s digital channels.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in web/digital design, computer science, marketing, communication, or related discipline from an accredited college or equivalent field experience.
  • An exceptional understanding of fundamental website usability best practices, standards, compliant design, cross browser compatibility and user interface design.
