Culture and Resource Manager

As the Culture and Resource Manager at Garrison Hughes, you will be part of an exciting agency and a fun group of people who take their work seriously. In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead the day-to day office operations.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Lead and manage all hiring for the agency and our staffing business. This includes managing the recruiting, screening, interviewing and offering of posted positions.
  • Create and develop office and employee programs and initiatives that better the morale, culture and inclusiveness of the agency.
  • Institute policies and procedures that add to the agency, making it more efficient and professional.
  • Assist Director of Operations with HR paperwork process.
  • Purchase, manage and stock all food, drinks, cleaning and office supplies. This includes managing allocated budgets, brokering deals with vendors and ensuring all supplies are updated.
  • Serve as primary liaison with the building management regarding cleaning, HVAC and general maintenance needs.
  • Responsible for oversight of securing the elevators each day.
  • Manage any enhancements or changes to our space including, carpet, furniture, paint and cleaning.
  • Coordinate and lead special events such as client parties, school visits and holiday decorating.
  • Provide support for executive team and client-facing staff as needed.
  • Assist Director of Operations with various projects
  • 1-3 years professional experience.

Consumer Insights Manager, Strategic Marketing and Intelligence

Garrison Hughes is looking for a full-time Consumer Insights Manager to work in the USX location. This position supports our client, UPMC, on the Strategic Marketing and Intelligence team and works with all clinical lines. As a Consumer Insights Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead research projects, uncover insights, write research reports and author creative briefs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the market research expert on assigned initiatives and determining the best methodology to uncover necessary insights.
  • Mining data from both quantitative and qualitative sources in order to write compelling, meaningful and inspiring reports.
  • Analyzing primary research and extracting insights that help drive preference and usage for specific clinical lines.
  • Crafting strategic decks, research reports and creative briefs.
  • Providing insight, counsel and pertinent information to clinical lines, so that strategic decisions can be made regarding advertising and marketing efforts.
  • Connecting disparate and related data points to arrive at insightful conclusions and points of view.
  • Presenting research findings and insights to senior-level marketing and clinical professionals.
  • Leading market research vendors to design and execute studies that range from awareness to ad testing to clinical preference.
  • Managing multiple vendor/agency partner relationships with those who serve as an extension of the Strategic Marketing and Intelligence team.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in market research, communication, advertising, anthropology or similar discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience in market research, brand strategy or marketing
  • Superior writing skills, with the ability to craft relevant brand stories
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to analyze different data points, draw conclusions and glean insights

Digital Marketing Specialist I

Garrison Hughes is looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist I to work exclusively with our client at UPMC. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will support the day-to-day maintenance needs of various UPMC web properties; and assist Digital Marketing Managers and Digital Marketing Specialist IIs in the planning, development, launch, and evaluation of web-based promotional and marketing programs to increase qualified site visits and conversions, with the ultimate goal of increasing patient volume and supporting UPMC’s business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage web projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication, collaborating with departmental communications managers, physicians, administrators, web architects and programmers, and designers.
  • Support Digital Marketing Managers and Digital Marketing Specialist IIs in the development of web projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication.
  • Keep managers and other Digital Marketing Specialists apprised of status and accomplishments.
  • Identify and recommend website improvements to increase qualified site visits.
  • Manage the development of system-wide web-based marketing campaigns as stand-alone efforts and/or in integration with existing clinical content on upmc.com.
  • Ensure that content and design are understandable, accessible and consistent with UPMC brand standards.
  • Build websites and pages in accordance with project requirements and recommend best practices and functionality to clients and partners.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in marketing, communications, business, or information technology preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing communications, web-based program management, design, development, or related field required.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with strong oral and written communications skills, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Working, current knowledge of web- and social media-based concepts, tools, and techniques such as search engine optimization, usability, navigation, QA testing, content development, and metrics/reporting systems.

Communications Manager

Garrison Hughes is looking for a professional who will work exclusively with our client, UPMC, at the Hillman Cancer Center. Under direction of a clinical marketing manager, you will strategize, develop, and implement communication projects to educate and inform physicians, patients, and other audiences about UPMC Hillman Cancer Center research. You will also direct communication strategies for internal and external audiences in assigned areas.

An ideal candidate will have experience with scientific/medical writing as well as project management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as a communications manager for UPMC Hillman Cancer Center research clients – managing the research, writing, design, and production of printed materials, website, and digital projects.
  • Developing and implementing targeted communication strategies to support the organization’s research and development objectives.
  • Implementing communication plans for programs and managing multifaceted projects including both digital and web.
  • Preparing effective strategies to achieve communication goals.
  • Developing methods to evaluate communications projects based on effectiveness and cost-benefits and documenting results.
  • Monitoring project budgets – obtaining approvals, managing additonal client relations functions, and assuming responsibility for the accuracy and effectiveness of information communicated.
