Market Research Manager

As the Market Research Manager at Garrison Hughes, you will be part of an exciting agency and a fun group of people who take their work seriously. Among the many skills and talents we know you will bring to our company, there are several that we consider to be “must-haves”. You will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in market research, leading and executing large multi-faceted research projects
  • Experience executing advertising testing, brand tracking and new concept studies
  • The ability to create annual research plans in order to reach diverse and broad goals that span product lines and sub brands
  • Proven ability to find consumer/customer insights and articulate them in an inspiring and compelling way
  • A comfort level analyzing data sources, syndicated data and data tables and pulling out key insights
  • The ability to execute quantitative surveys using online platforms including questionnaire writing, programing and analysis
  • Comfort and proficiency with all methodologies including quantitative, qualitative and secondary sources, with a desire to continually evolve and explore new methodologies and techniques

Digital Media Manager

As a Digital Media Manager at Garrison Hughes, you will be part of an exciting agency and a fun group of people who take their work seriously. You will join a team of experts in digital strategy, design, creative ideation and development. You will be responsible for the execution of acquisition campaigns for our clients across all acquisition channels. Additionally, you’ll manage digital marketing deliverables including initial planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting of complex acquisition marketing goals across a range of high-profile clients.

Some other hats you will wear include:

  • Developing media plans for campaigns against client and digital strategy goals
  • Developing short and long term digital advertising strategy for clients with the goal of driving new customer acquisition
  • Managing the entire marketing deliverable cycle including initial planning, creative briefing, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting
  • Managing paid search, display, paid social, and other paid media channels
  • Working with web marketing team to generate weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports and dashboards, and recognize and troubleshoot data anomalies
  • Coordinating the relationship with digital advertising/marketing technology vendors
  • Providing analysis of results and optimization ideas to Account teams in order to surpass client goals
  • Maintaining an understanding of industry trends and providing relevant insights to teams as to how they might affect client accounts

The pesky details:

  • 6+ years of experience in managing large scale paid media campaigns
  • Currently employed as a Marketing Manager or similar role
  • College degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required
  • Experience with optimization of paid media campaigns to hit CPA, ROI and Engagement goals, Google AdWords, Bing Ads, AdWords Editor and Bing Ads Editor, Facebook Advertising, Facebook Business Manager and Microsoft Excel

You will oversee the administration of multiple accounting responsibilities, including revenue, billing, capital expenditures and accounts payable. In this role, you will report to our Agency principals and serve on the executive leadership team. Among the many skills and talents we know you will bring to our company, there are several that we consider to be "must-haves". You will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar discipline
  • An MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in public or corporate accounting with at least 5 years of management experience
  • Advertising agency experience preferred
  • The ability to develop, administer and enforce corporate standards, policies and procedures
  • Experience working within the framework of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficiency in budgeting, revenue projections and managing expenses
  • Extensive experience in analyzing profitability, creating staffing plans and revenue models

Senior Digital Designer

This position is on the Garrison Hughes Design team, which is located in our offices on the 57th floor of the U.S. Steel Building. It is a unique role within our agency that encompasses conceptual design, strategic thinking, digital programming and managerial expertise. As Senior Digital Designer, you would be responsible for overseeing design for UPMC corporate websites, intranet, portals, interactive initiatives and other online and distributed digital projects. You will be asked to lend your expertise and guidance on numerous digital marketing projects, while maintaining the UPMC brand in support of UPMC's mission and vision. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with and offering design guidance to UPMC’s social media team. In addition, you would provide ongoing website design analysis, maintenance and development to continually monitor and improve website design, functionality and current industry standards. You will maintain UPMC’s design pattern library that defines all of the elements that make up UPMC’s web pages, including banners, rotators, call outs, call to action, link styles, etc. work closely with Medical Media and the video team to ensure that the UPMC brand and mission are consistent across digital mediums. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the Garrison Hughes Design team and offering your digital guidance to traditional design.

You will also play a vital role in helping to lead and manage campaigns and other digital initiatives; seek out ways to enhance the overall user experience; and develop concepts that will increase engagement and encourage repeat visits to UPMC’s digital channels.

Educational/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in web/digital design, computer science, marketing, communication, or related discipline from an accredited college or equivalent field experience.
  • An exceptional understanding of fundamental website usability best practices, standards, compliant design, cross browser compatibility and user interface design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on web design experience with proven understanding of interface design principles.
  • Solid understanding of typography, color, composition, hierarchy and user interface trends.
  • Knowledge of current trends in website development and the tools necessary to build online and interactive projects
  • Strong knowledge of HTML,CSS, JavaScript Programming (MySQL,PHP,SQL, and .NET experience a plus), InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress and MS Office
